As of early 2020, there are 89 building certifiers worldwide , accredited by the passive house institute. Accredited individuals may certify buildings according to the passive house institute standards anywhere in the world. Accreditation as a building certifier is linked to a contract with the passive house institute, which may be offered to selected individuals after they have successfully taken part in the certifiers' course.
